A simple foot-pedal
device that plugs into a USB socket and enables digital audio files to be
transcribed just like tape cassette. I did like my Pro Walkman!

FOOT PEDAL
This
is the software originally used to create these pages.. It works! I liked
it. Unfortunately they have a very restrictive upgrade policy.. After
purchase I had less than 6 months upgrade support before I was expected to
purchase the software again. Ok! I was offered a 50% off... But that's a
crap offer! I like to choose when I spend my money! So I now use Microsoft
"Expression" it has the ability to import your HTML website faultlessly,
none of the other software I tried could do this.. Didn't want to start
building my site all over again!

Great News!
I've now got one of those Zaxcom Digital Camera Links.
Ok! It's not going
to be used in static interviews.. But when running around behind camera it's
just brilliant! Hopefully I won't have to repair my umbilical cables
quite so often.. yippee!
I dread to think how
many portable recorders I have bought. BUT! this £170 device is now hanging
off my Sony DMX-Po1 mixer permanently, primarily because it has a SPDIF
input. I now just tap a button and my mixer's audio output is being cloned
to a CF card or Micro Drive, with none of that silly analogue line-up
nonsense...Its very small, extremely light and is reasonably solid. I like
the fact that none of the buttons protrude Ok it hasn't got XLR's but it
does have 1/4" jacks & Phono's. The only down side is that it's
rechargeable, but this is a mini USB input, so after about 5 hours use I
could carry an old Motorola phone charger to top it up .

Great little device
.. perfect for recording atmospheres and stereo effects to an SD card. It
needs extra wind protection to record outside. The only down sides are
handling noise and the lack of a spdif digital input.
